Senior Associate | Weaver

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Weaver, located in Houston, TX, with flexibility for some remote work. Weaver is a nationally recognized accounting and advisory firm based in Houston, committed to client success and integrity. The firm delivers comprehensive assurance, tax, and advisory services to a diverse range of commercial, government, and not-for-profit organizations. This role is crucial in supporting client engagements, performing detailed analyses, and contributing to solutions that help clients grow and transform.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engagement Support: Support client engagements across assurance, tax, or advisory services by applying professional standards and guidance to complex client situations.
• Data Analysis & Documentation: Perform detailed analyses of financial and operational data, prepare comprehensive workpapers, and contribute to reports and deliverables for clients.
• Risk Identification & Solutions: Review financial and operational data to identify potential issues or risks and assist in the implementation of solutions that support client growth and transformation.
• Client Communication: Interact directly with clients to gather essential information, communicate findings clearly, and help ensure project completion is accurate, on time, and compliant.
• Team & Process Improvement: Mentor junior team members, contribute to ongoing process improvements, and participate in continuous training and development to enhance technical and industry knowledge.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in core domain knowledge for a senior-level role.
• Experience: Relevant experience in public accounting or consulting, ideally serving industries such as financial services, energy, manufacturing, construction, technology, real estate, health care, or government.
• Skills: Strong technical proficiency in accounting, audit, tax, or advisory methodologies; advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including interpreting financial data and assessing risks; effective communication and interpersonal skills for clear documentation and multidisciplinary collaboration; organizational and project management abilities for managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines; proficiency with common business and accounting software.
• Bonus: CPA license or active progress toward certification is strongly preferred, alongside a demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct, client service, and continuous learning.
