Marketing Intern | MADE Hoops
The Tone:
This is an internship at MADE Hoops, located remotely with travel opportunities to camp locations. MADE Hoops is the premier grassroots basketball events organization in North America, dedicated to maximizing athletes’ development and exposure through over 100 annual events. This role offers a learning-first opportunity for a curious and eager individual to support the marketing team, gaining hands-on exposure to paid media, email/SMS, and the application of AI in a growing organization. You will come away with real experience across both the events and ecommerce merchandise businesses.

• Mission: Support the marketing team with day-to-day tasks that help drive event registrations, merchandise sales, and brand awareness.
• Tech Stack: Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, Klaviyo, ChatGPT, Claude, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Paid Campaign & Email/SMS Support: Shadow the team and assist with simple tasks on paid campaigns across various platforms and basic email/SMS operations in Klaviyo.
• AI-Enabled Marketing Workflows: Learn to use AI tools to help draft and tweak ad and email copy, identify repetitive tasks for AI, and brainstorm content ideas.
• Growth Marketing Support: Help keep UTM tracking organized, research competitor advertising strategies, and assist with simple A/B tests on landing pages or email subject lines.
• Analytics & Reporting: Assist with pulling basic performance numbers from various analytics platforms and help put together simple reports and slides for the team.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sports Marketing, Business, Communications, Data Analytics, or a related field; Entry-Level career status.
• Experience: No prior marketing experience is necessary, but a willingness to use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to learn and get tasks done faster is required.
• Skills: Comfort with spreadsheets, good attention to detail and organizational habits, solid written and verbal communication skills, reliability, self-motivation, and basic proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
• Bonus: Interest in Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Klaviyo, A/B testing, conversion rate optimization, building AI workflows, or a passion for sports, particularly basketball and youth athletics.
