The Tone:
This is a full-time management role at Advance Auto Parts, located in Riverdale, MD. The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Full-time, minimum 50-55 hours/week
• Location: In-person, Riverdale, MD
• Pay: $69400–$85000 yearly
• Mission: Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives by leading and developing a store team and nurturing customer relationships.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint (preferred), POS systems, Parts lookup systems, testing and diagnostic equipment

What You’ll Actually Do
• Sales: Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives for both DIY and professional customers.
• Customer Relations: Manage and grow Professional Customer relationships and sales, ensuring the team executes Customer action plans.
• Team Leadership: Select, hire, develop, manage performance, coach, schedule, and engage store Team Members.
• Operations Management: Ensure the execution of all inventory and operational standards within the store.
• Coaching & Mentorship: Coach all Team Members to deliver on customer expectations across DIY and Professional segments.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager career level with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and foundational knowledge in retail management and automotive systems.
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience managing a team of 10-20 Team Members in a retail environment, with proven financial and business acumen.
• Skills: Working knowledge of automotive systems, ability to communicate effectively in English (Spanish a plus) and build strong relationships, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, ability to calculate figures and amounts like discounts and percentages, and capacity to review and analyze business reports.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related area preferred, and ASE certification preferred.
