Venue Sustainability Supervisor – Jiffy Lube Live | Live Nation Entertainment
The Tone:
This is a seasonal, part-time role at Jiffy Lube Live, an owned/operated amphitheater of Live Nation Entertainment. Live Nation Entertainment is the world’s leading live entertainment company, comprising global market leaders Ticketmaster, Live Nation Concerts, and Live Nation Media & Sponsorship. This role is crucial as the backbone and driving force behind the venue’s resource recovery and circularity program, elevating sustainability efforts to new heights. The supervisor ensures efficient waste sorting protocols, maintains clean and organized workspaces, and provides thorough support for the overall growth of the sustainability program within the venue.

• Mission: Owns the day-to-day execution and development of efficient and comprehensive zero waste and resource recovery programs to achieve diversion and budget goals.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Training: Participate in supervisor onboarding and training, and assist with the training and oversight of the Venue Sustainability Crew.
• Operational Readiness: Be onsite during pre-season venue setup to ensure zero waste operational procedures are effectively established and in place.
• Material Sorting: Assist with the precise mid and post-show sorting process for all recycling, composting, donations, and landfill materials.
• Diversion Oversight: Oversee the material sorting of recycling, composting, reuse, and donations to significantly increase resource recovery and diversion from landfill.
• Program Support: Assist with Front of House and Back of House Zero Waste initiatives as outlined and guided by the Venue Sustainability Manager.
• Venue Cleanliness: Maintain a clean sorting area and support the Post-Show Pick after each event, occasionally requiring shifts on days following a show.
• Supervisory Backup: Be prepared to step in and oversee sustainability processes in the event the Venue Sustainability Manager cannot attend a scheduled show.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. A foundational understanding of recycling, composting, and material circularity, or a strong willingness to learn these principles.
• Skills: Tolerance for working in environments that may be dirty or have unpleasant odors, and comfortably working outdoors in variable weather conditions; strong time management abilities to consistently arrive on time and work late hours; creative thinking and a positive problem-solving attitude to adapt to challenges on the fly; a strong sense of teamwork and the ability to effectively execute established sustainability programs; and dedication to making a real and immediate environmental impact.
• Bonus: Prior experience in events or zero waste events.
