Management Trainee II | Bank of Colorado

The Tone:
This is a full-time role within the Management Training Program at Bank of Colorado, a part of the Pinnacle Bancorp banking group. This program is designed to assist management in preparing individuals for executive and supervisory positions across the Pinnacle Bancorp banks. The role is critical for allowing a trainee to quickly absorb a wide range of banking activities, fostering full familiarity with the total operation of a bank within a twelve to eighteen-month period.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Learn Operations: Learn daily operations across retail, operations, and lending within a branch environment.
• Develop Business: Prospect new customers and cross-sell banking services to new and existing customers.
• Support Management: Prepare analytical reports for management review.
• Manage Loans: Manage a portfolio of loan accounts and assist in preparing materials for loan committee.
• Build Relationships: Actively build relationships by attending customer or bank-sponsored events.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience: This is a training program designed to impart experience. Candidates should demonstrate an ability to learn and apply knowledge of bank operations, products, policies, lending practices, and sales and marketing principles.
• Skills:
• Effective communication with co-workers, customers, and management in a courteous and professional manner.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under strict time constraints.
• Discretion in maintaining confidentiality and the ability to function as a team player.
• Proactive initiative to self-start tasks and projects.

Benefits
Benefits are provided for employees working at least 35 hours per week, with modifications for those working fewer hours. These include 8 paid holidays, 17 PTO days each year for the first five years of employment (accruing after a 90-day introductory period), and 16 hours of paid sick time upon hire date.
