Compliance Assistant | Allied Residential
The Tone:
This is an Assistant role at Allied Residential, primarily supporting properties within the Puget Sound area. • Mission: Ensures all assigned properties consistently meet regulatory and company compliance standards
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word), remote work platforms
What You’ll Actually Do
• File Preparation: Prepare and review move-in, interim, and annual recertification files for completeness, accuracy, and program compliance.
• Eligibility Verification: Verify income, assets, and household eligibility in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate, organized, and retrievable electronic and hard-copy resident files for audit and inspection readiness.
• Compliance Guidance: Assist leasing and management teams with understanding and applying affordable housing program requirements, including HUD and LIHTC.
• Reporting & Tracking: Generate and distribute monthly recertification notices, track status updates, and provide progress reports to managers.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level. Core domain knowledge in property management, affordable housing, or compliance.
• Experience: Six months to one year of experience in property management, affordable housing, or compliance.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines, excellent written and verbal communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and HUD regulations, experience with remote work platforms, reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
