Warehouse and Product Assembly Manager | Pet Impulse LLC

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Pet Impulse LLC, located in Cleveland, OH. Pet Impulse LLC started in 2018 with the intent to bring quality pet products to the discount retail channel. The company builds its own branded products and operates as a closeout wholesaler, leveraging over 25 years of experience in the pet industry. This role is crucial for driving core warehouse and product assembly operations, ensuring efficiency and safety in an evolving environment where no two days are the same.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Drive Operations: Oversee and execute all daily warehouse duties, including accurate item picking, product assembly, shipping, receiving, and inventory cycle counts.
• Ensure Safety & Productivity: Guarantee warehouse personnel are working in a safe and productive environment, monitoring daily production plans for pick/pack/ship and inbound processing.
• Optimize Processes: Regularly review and update warehouse and product assembly processes to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements to management.
• Coordinate Logistics: Manage the scheduling, routing, communication, and control of all trucking activities for shipments.
• Staff & Prepare Products: Identify weekly manpower requirements, schedule appropriate short-term staff, efficiently repackage bulk items, and properly weigh, wrap, and label skids for shipment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Managerial experience in warehouse operations with a strong focus on maintaining a safe environment, product assembly, and logistics management.
• Experience: Required experience in shipping, receiving, assembly of pallets, loading and unloading containers, and reworking product.
• Skills: Attention to detail, problem-solving, time management, organization, multitasking, decision-making capabilities, good communication, customer service skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), and the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, stoop, reach, and walk for continuous periods.
• Bonus: Experience working with temporary staffing agencies for hiring and management, creating efficient assembly line strategies, and maintaining self-motivation while working unaccompanied for extended periods.
