Lab Entry Level Technician | Hunt International Energy Svc

• Team: Reports to an Analytical Specialist and collaborates closely with a Lead Tech 1.
• Mission: To ensure accurate sample handling, perform critical routine analyses, and maintain lab resources to support energy service activities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Shift Relief: Provide essential vacation relief for 12-hour shift technicians as needed.
• Sample Management: Manage all sample retains and maintain the integrity of the storage facility.
• Water Analysis: Perform process water analysis and diligently maintain the required chemicals and reagents.
• Sample Collection: Collect various samples from field locations and designated sample stations.
• Routine Analysis: Run routine analyses including rotational viscosity, FSII, gravity, and conductivity.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional possessing an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science field.
• Experience: 2-3 years of practical laboratory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
• Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of refinery and lab safety procedures, including the safe handling of toxic and hazardous materials. Proficiency in performing process water analysis and conducting routine analytical tests such as rotational viscosity, FSII, gravity, and conductivity. Capability in sample collection and comprehensive sample management.
• Bonus: Possession of a valid driver’s license. A commitment to seeking training opportunities for career progression within the Lab Progression Plan. Readiness to successfully complete a six-month probationary period and pass the Lab Entry Level 2 job knowledge audit within 6 months of employment.
