The TL;DR

• Type: Full-time, flexible shifts (Days, Evenings, Overnights + Weekends)

• Team: Reports to the Store Manager and oversees a team of store staff.
• Mission: Support the Store Manager in all aspects of station store operations, ensuring efficient task execution, excellent customer service, and effective team supervision.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Oversight: Assist the Store Manager in the comprehensive oversight of Stationstore operations, ensuring all daily tasks are accomplished efficiently and company standards are consistently maintained.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, interview, hire, and supervise store staff, fostering a motivated team through effective delegation, teaching, and consistent follow-up to achieve operational goals.
• Customer Experience: Deliver fast and friendly service, setting a positive example for the team while ensuring a welcoming and satisfying experience for every customer.
• Store Management: Execute precise bookkeeping and merchandising plans, including the high-standard food program, to optimize store appearance and product availability.
• Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges, advocating for team and customer needs while upholding safety and security protocols within the store environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Career level suitable for an Assistant Manager role, demonstrating an understanding of core retail operational principles and support functions within a store environment.
• Experience: Possess prior experience in a supervisory or management capacity, showcasing a proven ability to oversee teams and manage daily operations effectively within a retail or service setting.
• Skills: Demonstrated capabilities in leading and motivating teams, effective planning and organizing, clear communication of plans and ideas, accurate cash-handling and bookkeeping, and robust problem-solving for operational challenges.
• Bonus: Valued qualifications include previous retail experience, specific expertise in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring, prior experience handling food services, or the attainment of a High School/College Degree(s).
