The Tone:
This is a direct hire, hybrid role at a well-established global manufacturing company, located in Edison, NJ. This Senior Accountant position is crucial for owning key accounting processes from month-end close through financial reporting. The role offers a hands-on accounting professional the chance to make a significant impact by ensuring GAAP compliance and driving process improvements within a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Maintain: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, financial reports, and account analyses.
• Manage: Manage fixed asset accounting and capital expenditure tracking while supporting customer rebate and promotional program accounting.
• Support: Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Improve: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a senior-level understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience: 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience with ERP systems.
• Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Bonus: Manufacturing and/or cost accounting experience, Power BI experience, CPA or CPA candidate, experience reviewing or supervising accounting staff, office products or manufacturing industry experience, and the ability to travel up to 10%.
