The Tone:
This is a full-time role at AGRILAND FS, located at an Agronomy Location Outside Lead. AGRILAND FS is a financially strong farmer-owned cooperative seeking a dedicated leader in operations. This position is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, great organizational skills, and experience mentoring others. As a vital member of the AGRILAND FS team, this individual will collaborate closely with the location manager, taking the helm in guiding the operations team with robust knowledge of operating a variety of equipment.

• Team: Reports directly to the Location Manager, leading and collaborating with the operations team.
• Mission: To proactively manage and lead all aspects of operational excellence, including equipment maintenance, product logistics, and team development, ensuring efficient agronomy services.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Leadership: Schedule, lead, and personally perform preventative maintenance projects alongside team members to ensure equipment readiness and longevity.
• Product Logistics Management: Coordinate and schedule product deliveries, and meticulously oversee the accurate and timely application of all agronomy products.
• Hands-on Application Support: Actively assist the team with the direct application and delivery processes for various agronomy products, demonstrating leadership by example.
• Facility and Tool Maintenance: Take responsibility for maintaining all shop tools and ensuring the overall cleanliness and functionality of the facility.
• Personnel Recruitment Assistance: Provide support and assistance in the crucial process of recruiting new operational personnel for the team.
• Team Skill Development: Contribute significantly to the training and continuous development of team members, fostering a knowledgeable and skilled workforce.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A proven leader in operations with demonstrated experience in mentoring and guiding team members.
• Experience: Solid business acumen including experience in managing budgets and overseeing inventory efficiently.
• Skills: Exceptional leadership capabilities complemented by strong verbal and written communication skills; a robust mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving abilities; the capability to effectively operate all equipment present at the facility; superior organizational skills enabling multi-tasking effectively; a strong work ethic, prepared to commit to hours beyond what is typically considered normal; and the critical ability to obtain a Class A CDL with all necessary endorsements.
• Bonus: Prior experience specifically within or a strong foundational understanding of the Ag Retail sector is advantageous for this role.
