Shift Leader | CKE Restaurants, Inc.
The Tone:
This is a part-time role at CKE Restaurants, Inc., located in Moberly. As a quick-service restaurant organization with approximately 1,359 people, CKE Restaurants relies on strong operational leadership to deliver quality experiences. This role is essential for supporting the General Manager, ensuring smooth shift operations, upholding business standards, and fostering a productive environment for all team members. It directly contributes to the restaurant’s daily success and customer satisfaction.
The TL;DR
• Role: Part Time
• Location: In-person, Moberly, MO
• Team: Reports to the General Manager or Person In Charge; collaborates with the Restaurant Management Team.
• Mission: Ensures consistent restaurant operations, high customer satisfaction, and effective team performance during assigned shifts.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Leadership: Assist the General Manager or Person In Charge by taking on management activities and duties to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to the business plan.
• Team Performance & Development: Oversee Crew Persons and Team Leaders, ensuring they consistently meet job responsibilities, expectations, and actively work to improve their skills and performance.
• Customer Experience Excellence: Consistently deliver a high-quality product and customer service, aiming for total customer satisfaction in every aspect of the dining experience.
• Profitability & Cost Management: Support efforts to maximize sales and profits, actively leading shift activities that help minimize controllable costs.
• Policy Compliance & Professional Development: Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, model shared company values, and engage in training, meetings, webinars, or special projects as assigned.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Career level indicating leadership or supervisory experience within a restaurant setting. Requires a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
• Experience: Approximately two (2) to three (3) years of any combination of experience and/or education demonstrating a commanding knowledge of restaurant management principles and practices.
• Skills: Must possess excellent planning, time management, and team building skills. Essential abilities include investigative and problem-solving skills, troubleshooting cash handling problems, and strong oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with various internal and external contacts. Candidates must also maintain reliable personal transportation, a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a reliable telephone, while being accessible and maintaining an open door policy for the restaurant’s needs.
• Bonus: Bi-lingual skills are considered a plus. Additionally, strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies leading to positive business results are highly valued.
