• Mission: Manage financial operations for a portfolio of homeowner associations, ensuring accurate reporting and financial transparency for clients and leadership.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Oversee and manage the comprehensive accounting activities for a portfolio of approximately 35 homeowner associations, ensuring precise financial reporting and adherence to established guidelines to maintain financial health and compliance for each entity.
• Perform: Execute all month-end close processes efficiently, meticulously prepare detailed financial statements for review by leadership and clients, and accurately reconcile all balance sheet accounts to ensure data integrity and transparency.
• Support: Actively support and contribute to budgeting cycles, facilitate external auditing processes, and conduct critical financial analysis activities across the entire portfolio of managed properties, aiding in strategic decision-making.
• Communicate: Serve as a primary financial point of contact, communicating directly and effectively with association boards, diverse clients, and internal leadership regarding all financial matters, reports, and inquiries, fostering strong relationships.
• Improve: Continuously maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and financial accuracy in all tasks, while proactively identifying and implementing opportunities to improve existing accounting processes and efficiencies to support the company’s growth.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field, providing a foundational understanding of financial principles, reporting standards, and analytical methods essential for this role.
• Experience: Previous professional experience in property management accounting, homeowner association (HOA) accounting, broader real estate accounting, or community association accounting is highly preferred and will be a significant advantage.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical capabilities, effective problem-solving skills to navigate complex financial scenarios, and proven expertise in financial reporting are essential for ensuring accuracy and transparency as an Accountant in this dynamic environment.
