Customer Logistics Manager – DTS SET | RYKER

The Tone:
This is a full-time, salaried role at RYKER, requiring extensive nationwide travel. The company’s Startup Operation members (SET Ops) team acts as a dedicated setup consultant for new Dedicated Transportation Solutions businesses. This role is crucial for ensuring the flawless launch of new operations, providing essential training to drivers and managers, and offering ongoing support to Field Operations. Given the nature of new business setups, the position involves significant time away from home, with travel expected to be around 75-80%.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Consult: Act as a setup consultant, handling all aspects of new Dedicated Transportation Solutions business startups, ensuring flawless execution and adherence to customer critical success factors.
• Train: Ensure both drivers and managers understand core operations and systems for tracking compliance, driver pay, and customer billing, including training new management teams and Certified Driver Trainer groups.
• Guide: Build out process flows and provide guidance on operational consistency across new operations.
• Support: Engage in the writing of process documents, system testing, and design-level consulting for new product features.
• Decide: Act as an arm of management, answering questions and making quick decisions during the startup phase.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager level, with a H.S. diploma/GED required. Core domain knowledge in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or industry-related fields.
• Experience: Two (2) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry-related fields. One (1) year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Advanced logistics industry knowledge. Advanced knowledge and understanding of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations. Advanced knowledge of Manufacturing and Production. Intermediate fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain. Knowledge and inner workings of a driver route tool. Ability to effectively manage Profit & Loss statements.
