This role is vital for maintaining accurate financial records for a wide range of clients and directly contributes to the growth and success of the Business Advisory Services (BAS) team. The Staff Accountant ensures precise financial tracking and reporting, supporting clients in achieving their financial objectives.

• Mission: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for an organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax liabilities.
• Tech Stack: QuickBooks, Advanced Excel
What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Support: Support Senior BAS Accountants by performing various accounting functions for a diverse client base across multiple industries.
• Financial Record Management: Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial records, including processing transactions and ensuring accurate data entry.
• Month-End Close & Reporting: Execute month-end closing processes, which include preparing journal entries, reviewing the general ledger, and generating monthly financial reports for clients and internal management.
• Reconciliations: Complete monthly bank reconciliations and other balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
• Audit & Tax Assistance: Collaborate with clients’ third-party auditors to facilitate timely annual financial statement audits and provide necessary information for tax return preparation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, foundational knowledge of accounting principles.
• Experience: 1-3 years of progressive experience in an accounting role, with hands-on experience using QuickBooks.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, advanced Excel proficiency, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all organizational levels.
