Marketing + PR Internship | Last Night’s Game

The Tone:
This is a remote internship at Last Night’s Game, a sister company to Cultivate A Network of Champions. You will work directly with Cultivate’s CEO + Founder, Amy Siegfried, supporting a brand dedicated to helping people confidently connect and build authentic relationships to create a network of champions. The role is crucial for expanding the visibility and brand presence of Cultivate, which teaches practical ways to turn everyday conversations into meaningful opportunities, while also collaborating with Last Night’s Game to make sports approachable for real-life conversations. Your ideas, perspectives, and creativity will be valued as you contribute to a female-led startup focused on the power of relationships.

• Mission: Expand brand visibility and foster authentic connections through strategic public relations, media outreach, and marketing initiatives.
• Tech Stack: Canva, Google Suite

What You’ll Actually Do
• Outreach: Research and pitch media outlets, podcasts, and speaking opportunities to grow brand visibility and presence.
• Support: Assist in outreach efforts to event organizers, conference planners, and organizations aligned with the target audience.
• Management: Help build and maintain a targeted PR and communications pipeline, sending pitch emails, speaker submissions, and follow-up communications.
• Tracking: Monitor outreach, responses, and placements to understand effectiveness and identify areas for momentum.
• Amplification: Support content amplification tied to speaking engagements, including social media posts, recap content, and newsletter mentions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current undergraduate majoring in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or holding a related minor.
• Experience: Demonstrated curiosity about how brands gain visibility through PR, media, and marketing strategy, coupled with the ability to take initiative.
• Skills: Strong writing for crafting clear outreach emails, organized and detail-oriented approach to tracking contacts and next steps, and familiarity with Canva and Google Suite.
• Bonus: Previous experience successfully pitching media, a campus organization, a student publication, or a cold email.
