The Tone:
This is a contract role at Global Technical Talent, supporting a client located in Milwaukee, WI, with hybrid flexibility. This role is crucial for leading end-to-end supplier performance improvement across key operational areas, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting new product launches aligned with business objectives and customer expectations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Performance: Drive end-to-end supplier performance management, tracking KPIs across quality, delivery, capacity, scalability, and sustainability to ensure high standards.
• Implement Improvement: Develop and execute comprehensive supplier quality and delivery improvement plans, aiming to reduce SPPM and guarantee on-time delivery.
• Enhance Capabilities: Drive continuous improvement and provide supplier training using Six Sigma and Lean methods, including Kaizen initiatives (e.g., VSM, TPM, takt optimization), and lead structured problem solving (8D).
• Ensure Readiness: Manage supplier readiness for new product launches, applying APQP, PPAP, and process validation while meticulously validating supplier capacity, scalability, and technical capabilities.
• Assess & Mitigate: Conduct thorough supplier risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies, performing audits and capability assessments across quality, processes, and capacity.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or Supply Chain, with deep expertise in supplier development, supplier quality, manufacturing, or supply chain.
• Experience: 10 years of experience in supplier development, supplier quality, plant quality, manufacturing, or supply chain, including 10 years planning and optimizing capacity, having started on a production floor.
• Skills: Deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Program & Project Management, Six Sigma methodologies, APQP, and PPAP processes.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, capacity analysis, and quality systems, coupled with proven experience in supplier performance improvement and recovery initiatives.
• Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, alongside excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Bonus: Proven experience with new product integration, outsourcing, and greenfield operations.
