Warehouse Manager | The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, located in Redding, CA. Goodyear is a service and retreading market leader with over 200 Commercial Tire Centers and Truck Care Centers across the United States. As one of the world’s largest tire companies, Goodyear employs about 62,000 people globally, manufacturing products in 46 facilities across 21 countries. This role is essential for managing the comprehensive flow of commercial tires and related products, directly supporting the company’s mission of ‘SERVICE EXCELLENCE – ALWAYS’ and helping lower operating costs for commercial and off-the-road fleets.

• Mission: To manage all aspects of receiving, shipping, and controlling incoming and outgoing new and retreaded commercial tires, casings, wheels, and other types of tire related products and materials for a Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers location.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Shipments: Oversee all inbound and outbound tire shipments, ensuring the accurate processing of new and retreaded tires for internal and external customers, and diligently reviewing shipments to advise management of any shortages or damaged goods.
• Inventory Control: Manage inventory protection strategies, optimize warehouse layout, and facilitate efficient product movement for commercial tires, casings, wheels, and other related materials, while collaborating with the Service Manager and Office Manager on proper merchandise documentation.
• Logistics & Delivery: Coordinate or personally deliver work orders, ensuring timely and accurate distribution to meet the service goals of the location, upholding the ‘SERVICE EXCELLENCE – ALWAYS’ mission.
• Administrative Functions: Perform essential warehouse administrative duties, including precise billing, efficient parts ordering, and meticulous inventory management involving all tire-related products.
• Workplace Management: Safely operate shop equipment when receiving and delivering items, and maintain a consistently clean, safe, and organized working environment within both the shop and warehouse areas, adhering strictly to all safety procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager level, responsible for comprehensive warehouse administration, supervision, and logistics management across all aspects of receiving, shipping, and controlling commercial tire products and materials for a Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Center.
• Experience: Requires a minimum of 1 year of previous warehouse experience.
• Skills: Must possess a mechanical aptitude, strong oral and written communication ability for internal and external interactions, and be willing to follow all safety procedures. Candidates should also be self-starters, able to work without direct supervision, and comfortable in a results-oriented, team-based environment.
• Bonus: A High School Diploma or GED is preferred, along with previous supervisor or management experience and prior experience in warehouse, shipping, and receiving roles.
