Director of Community Outreach | The W Group
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at The W Group, located in New York State. The W Group is opening a brand new private pay assisted living community and seeks a founding team member to build its market presence from the ground up. This role is critical for establishing the community’s initial resident census and has direct ownership over outreach and admissions strategy. Success in this position offers a clear path to broader regional responsibilities as the company’s portfolio expands.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Market Presence: Build and maintain new referral relationships while leading outreach, networking, and promotional activities to establish market presence.
• Resident Engagement: Coordinate and conduct tours, interviews, and screenings for prospective residents and their families.
• Admissions Management: Manage the admissions process end-to-end, ensuring all required medical, mental health, and financial documentation is complete and compliant with NYSDOH guidelines.
• Occupancy Growth: Partner with corporate and community teams to achieve occupancy goals, monthly tour quotas, and outreach targets during the pre-opening and stabilization phases.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary liaison between families, referral sources, and community teams, addressing concerns quickly and professionally.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Director level professional with a foundational understanding of sales, outreach, or admissions within the senior care or healthcare sector. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience: Proven experience in healthcare sales, outreach, or admissions, particularly with private pay clientele. Demonstrated ability to convert inquiries into move-ins and rapidly establish census.
• Skills: Referral Source Development, End-to-end Admissions Management, NYSDOH Regulatory Compliance, CRM Data Management, Confidentiality Adherence (HIPAA).
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, healthcare administration, or related field; experience launching or building census for a new community; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for community visits; availability for occasional evenings and weekends to accommodate tours and move-ins.
