This role is vital for providing comprehensive claim servicing to insurance policyholders, managing the entire claims process from intake to final decision, and ensuring frequent, empathetic updates to claimants.

• Mission: Manage the end-to-end claims process for policyholders, ensuring accurate resolution and empathetic communication.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Claim Management: Oversee the entire claim process, from initial intake to the final decision.
• Claimant Communication: Provide frequent status updates to policyholders via their preferred communication channels.
• Document Analysis: Thoroughly review and assess medical documents, claim forms, and policy notes.
• Financial Processing: Calculate benefit amounts and process payments accurately through the claims system.
• Caseload Management: Manage an active caseload of claims, ensuring detailed logging, tracking, and organization throughout the lifecycle.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum high school diploma or GED; college degree preferred. Core domain knowledge in medical benefits, claims adjudication, and supplemental insurance products.
• Experience: 2 years in an analytical role reviewing medical benefits and claims; 2 years of claims adjudication experience, preferably in life and supplemental products; 4 years of experience reviewing and assessing medical records; 1 year of proven productivity working from home.
• Skills: Claims adjudication, medical record review, data analysis for trends and root causes, empathetic communication, meticulous record keeping, and attention to detail.
• Bonus: College degree preferred; successful completion of any state-specific certification related to job duties (sponsored by the company) is desired.
