What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Oversight: Oversee daily property operations, including lease administration, rent collection, and resident and tenant relations.
• Property Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance staff and vendors, conduct property inspections, and ensure units and common areas are well-maintained.
• Financial Management: Manage budgeting and expense control, along with basic financial reporting.
• Leasing and Compliance: Assist with marketing and leasing activities, helping enforce community rules and regulatory requirements.
• Performance Improvement: Collaborate with leadership to improve property performance, maintain high occupancy, and support a safe, welcoming environment.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Experience in property management or a related real estate or hospitality role, with strong knowledge of leasing, rent collection, and resident/tenant relations. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience: Ability to coordinate maintenance and vendor work, conduct property inspections, and ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulations. Demonstrated skills in budgeting, basic financial reporting, and using property management or office software tools.
• Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities, with a customer-focused approach and professional, inclusive demeanor. Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently while collaborating with team members.
• Bonus: Additional education or certifications in property management, real estate, or business are a plus. Willingness to work on-site in Milan, Michigan, with flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends as property needs arise.
