• Mission: This director-level position is responsible for owning the comprehensive cleanliness, safety, and welcoming atmosphere of the skilled nursing facility through meticulous housekeeping, proactive maintenance, and strict adherence to Life Safety standards.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Facility & Environmental Maintenance: Directly manage and perform day-to-day housekeeping and general facility maintenance tasks, diligently adhering to established daily and weekly cleaning schedules and all federal, state, and local regulations to ensure a consistently clean, comfortable, and compliant environment.
• Safety & Code Compliance: Support and ensure strict adherence to all Life Safety initiatives, actively maintaining the building in accordance with Life Safety Code (NFPA) requirements to safeguard residents and staff.
• Emergency Response: Provide swift and effective responses to all emergency maintenance or critical cleaning needs, ensuring immediate resolution and minimal disruption to facility operations and resident comfort.
• Interdepartmental Collaboration: Engage in proactive collaboration with nursing, administrative, and other departmental teams to collectively achieve and uphold high environmental and safety standards throughout the facility.
• Community Atmosphere: Cultivate and maintain a positive, respectful, and welcoming atmosphere for all residents, staff, and visitors, contributing to a supportive and harmonious living and working environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This Director-level position requires strong foundational knowledge in facility housekeeping and maintenance operations, ideally gained within a healthcare, hospitality, or commercial setting.
• Experience: Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of hands-on experience in either housekeeping or maintenance roles within a healthcare, hospitality, or commercial environment, demonstrating practical skills in facility upkeep.
• Skills: Required skills include a working knowledge of Life Safety Code requirements with proven ability to support compliance, proficiency in basic repairs, adeptness at conducting safety inspections, strong attention to detail, excellent organizational capabilities, and effective time-management skills. The role also demands clear and respectful communication with supervisors and team members.
• Bonus: While not strictly required, a high school diploma or GED is preferred, indicating a commitment to foundational education relevant to the role.
