Senior Investment Controller, German Speaking – Private Markets Financial Operations | LGT Capital Partners
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at LGT Capital Partners, located in Pfaeffikon, Switzerland, with options for work-from-home and flexible hours. This role is integral to the Private Markets financial operations team, ensuring the accurate and timely financial oversight and reporting for diverse private market funds and mandates. The position is vital for delivering high-quality Net Asset Value and German investor reporting to clients and various internal and external stakeholders.

• Mission: Oversee, manage and review Net Asset Value and German investor reporting processes and ensure timely and quality output delivery to clients and other stakeholders for various types of private market funds and mandates.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting Oversight: Oversee, manage, and meticulously review Net Asset Value (NAV) and German investor reporting processes, ensuring timely and quality output delivery for various types of private market funds and mandates to clients and other stakeholders.
• Team Supervision: Review and formally sign off on work completed by team members, providing guidance and ensuring accuracy within the investment controlling function.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Actively support audit coordination, and build and manage relationships across a broad range of internal teams and stakeholders, as well as coordinate with global teams on investment controlling activities.
• Service Provider Management: Supervise and thoroughly review work performed by both internal and external service providers to ensure adherence to standards and accurate output.
• Process Enhancement: Proactively review, improve, implement, and enforce robust controls and processes within the controlling team, including active involvement in various enhancement and strategic projects to drive efficiency and quality.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A professional with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in private equity fund accounting, fund controlling, and/or fund auditing, demonstrating strong accounting and analytical skills with a flair for financial analysis in private markets financial operations.
• Experience: At least 5 years of dedicated experience in roles focused on private equity fund accounting, fund controlling, or fund auditing functions.
• Skills: Possesses a detail-oriented approach, strong accounting and analytical capabilities, native or business fluent proficiency in both German and English, excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, an open mindset, and a proven ability to work effectively as a team player.
• Bonus: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred; additional language skills in Italian or French would be considered an asset.
