The Tone:
This is a full-time role for a Warehouse Manager, located in Houston, TX, within a food manufacturing environment. This company specializes in the production of food items, potentially including frozen foods, refrigerated products, or egg rolls. This critical position ensures the efficient flow of goods, proper inventory management, and adherence to food safety standards across all warehouse operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Manage the full scope of warehouse operations, from inbound receiving to outbound shipping, ensuring efficiency and compliance in a food manufacturing setting.
• Control: Implement and maintain robust inventory control practices, including accurate stock counts, proper storage, and efficient retrieval for production and shipping.
• Execute: Execute and enforce crucial product handling protocols such as FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out), alongside comprehensive product traceability systems.
• Lead: Lead and supervise the warehouse team, providing clear direction and fostering a productive environment, while managing daily tasks and schedules.
• Collaborate: Coordinate critical warehouse activities and information flow with other key departments, including Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Shipping, to optimize overall operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Managerial or supervisory level experience within warehouse operations, specifically applied to a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience: Required previous experience leading warehouse teams, managing staff, and coordinating complex logistics. Demonstrated background in food manufacturing, particularly with frozen food, refrigerated products, egg rolls, or similar items, is essential.
• Skills: Proven knowledge and practical application of inventory control, receiving, shipping procedures, FIFO/FEFO methodologies, and comprehensive product traceability systems. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities are critical for success in this role.
• Bonus: Familiarity with food safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP standards), and experience utilizing warehouse management systems (ERP/WMS) to enhance operational efficiency.
