What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Direct daily accounting operations, overseeing processes such as accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining general ledger entries.
• Analyze: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and reporting deadlines.
• Plan: Conduct comprehensive tax preparation and planning, including federal, state, and local filings, while ensuring adherence to applicable tax regulations.
• Monitor: Oversee financial performance, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Collaborate: Provide financial insights to leadership and cross-functional teams to inform strategic decisions, and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, coupled with a strong understanding of core accounting and finance principles and practices.
• Experience: Active Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license; demonstrated proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements; expertise in tax preparation, including federal, state, and local filings; and practical experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel for financial modeling.
• Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy; and effective written and verbal communication skills to present complex financial information clearly.
• Bonus: An advanced degree or relevant certifications; prior experience in manufacturing, healthcare, or consumer products industries.
