• Team: Manages the Mapping (Survey & Utility) Department; reports to the Business Operational Lead
• Mission: To provide enterprise leadership for accurate, high-quality geospatial information and reliable existing conditions data supporting planning, design, and preconstruction efforts.
• Tech Stack: Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, GNSS Surveying, LiDAR, Photogrammetry, UAV photogrammetry, Terrestrial laser scanning, Machine Control

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Direction & Growth: Lead the strategic direction, operational performance, and growth of the Survey & Utility Mapping organization, developing strategic plans and standard operating procedures.
• Technical Authority: Serve as the department’s technical authority, governing and advancing survey methodologies, geodetic control networks, and various geospatial data acquisition technologies.
• Technology & R&D: Manage all decisions regarding software purchases, training, and implementation, as well as research and development processes for new technology applications.
• Department Management: Oversee the department’s financial performance (P&L, G&A), personnel management (hiring, training, development), and ensure high-quality assurance and control for all deliverables.
• Project Support: Provide direct project support to Operations and Field Operations Managers, assisting with logistics, phasing plans, budget development, and project proposal creation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Director level expertise in survey and construction, with a strong emphasis on geodetic surveying and geospatial data management.
• Experience: Over 10 years of experience in survey and construction, specializing in GNSS Surveying, Vertical & Horizontal Control networks, construction layout, and aerial data collection.
• Skills: Proficient in Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center, strong ability to communicate and integrate with project teams, developmentally minded with a focus on team growth, and experienced in managing all aspects of survey for large sites.
