GCIB Corporate Coverage – Global Relationship Manager, Director | Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group

The Tone:

• Pay: 180000–210000 EUR yearly
• Team: Reporting to the Head of GCIB Italy within the Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) franchise.
• Mission: Lead coverage of a portfolio of global corporate clients in Italy, owning client relationships and delivering financial, risk, and conduct targets.
• Tech Stack: CRM, deal management platforms, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead client coverage and relationship management for a portfolio of global corporate clients in Italy, driving financial and non-financial KPIs.
• Originate, structure, and execute complex transactions across lending, DCM, hedging, transaction banking, and advisory products.
• Manage and optimize financial performance for the client portfolio, including gross revenue, NOP, RoE, and balance sheet targets.
• Act as First Line of Defence, owning credit, market, operational, regulatory, and conduct risks attached to the role.
• Define and implement the medium- and long-term coverage strategy for the assigned client segment, contributing to the Milan Branch’s development.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Degree-level education in Economics, Finance, Business, Accounting or Law, at a Director career level, with deep knowledge of the Italian corporate market.
• Experience: Minimum 12–15 years of corporate and investment banking experience, with a strong track record in senior client coverage of Italian corporates and proven deal execution across lending, DCM, and structured finance.
• Skills: Deep knowledge of key Italian sectors and the European regulatory environment, strong credit skills, proven origination and execution capability across the CIB product suite, excellent stakeholder management, and fluent Italian and English.
• Bonus: A post-graduate qualification (MBA, CFA, Master in Finance) and additional European language skills are valued.
