AI Engineer Intern | Jobright.ai
The Tone:
This is an internship at Jobright.ai, located in Santa Clara, CA. Jobright.ai develops a personal AI job search agent designed to transform the job search process from a solitary, time-consuming effort into an expert-guided journey. This role is crucial for prototyping, evaluating, and bringing AI capabilities into production, directly shaping how users experience an AI-driven job search. As an intern, you will contribute to building real AI agents that have a direct impact on users’ job search outcomes.
The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Build: Construct and evaluate features powered by Large Language Models and other machine learning techniques.
• Develop: Create data pipelines and integrations essential for supporting AI systems.
• Experiment: Conduct experiments with prompting strategies, data retrieval methods, ranking algorithms, embeddings, and model evaluation techniques.
• Improve: Enhance the quality, reduce latency, boost reliability, and manage the cost of AI-powered user experiences.
• Analyze: Generate evaluation datasets and meticulously analyze the behavior and performance of AI models.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Experience: Familiarity with APIs, data processing, and general software development practices, alongside an understanding of machine learning, NLP, or information retrieval fundamentals.
• Skills: Strong Python programming skills, with the ability to work onsite in Santa Clara, CA.
• Bonus: Experience with LLM applications, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, or model evaluation; familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or cloud AI services; experience building end-to-end AI prototypes; knowledge of recommendation systems, search, or ranking; or previous AI research, internship, or substantial personal project experience.
