Human Resources Intern | Bridgewell
The Tone:
This is an internship at Bridgewell, a social and human services provider dedicated to strengthening communities and empowering individuals. Bridgewell offers an unmatched range of support including community housing, day programs, outpatient treatment, recovery services, education, and employment training, helping people from those with autism to individuals with substance use disorders. This Human Resources Intern role is crucial for supporting the department responsible for building the team, directly contributing to Bridgewell’s mission of inspiring hope and empowering people experiencing life challenges to achieve their fullest potential.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time (30 hours/week)
• Location: In-person
• Mission: To provide hands-on experience in recruitment and HR administrative functions, offering insight into the Human Services field.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
What You’ll Actually Do
• Support recruitment efforts: Assist with various processes involved in attracting, screening, and onboarding candidates.
• Execute HR administration: Perform essential administrative functions to maintain efficient and compliant HR operations.
• Engage in departmental tasks: Be trained on and carry out tasks aligned with the specific requirements of the assigned program or department.
• Develop foundational HR skills: Gain a solid foundation in core human resources responsibilities over the six-month internship period.
• Understand non-profit operations: Acquire practical understanding of the unique aspects of working within a non-profit, human services organization.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Level Program or higher, or a recent graduate.
• Experience: Minimum of intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work independently, excellent attention to detail, and strong analytical and organizational skills.
