Consumer Insights Intern | 10Beauty

The Tone:
This is an internship at 10Beauty, located in Burlington, MA. 10Beauty is a robotics startup that builds the world’s first fully autonomous manicure machine, having launched its first robot at Ulta Beauty in Everett. This role is a unique opportunity to blend user research, behavioral science, experimentation, and data analysis at a fast-growing 50+ person organization. The intern will work closely with various teams to design and execute consumer studies that directly influence the future of the customer experience for autonomous manicure machines.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Design and execute consumer research studies focused on self-service user experiences.
• Coordinate: Plan and coordinate testing logistics for our internal ManiLab consumer testing environment.
• Moderate: Recruit, organize, and moderate user interview groups and usability sessions.
• Analyze: Analyze research findings using statistical methods to identify meaningful trends and actionable insights.
• Report: Build reports and presentations that clearly communicate recommendations to Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing (or recent graduate with) a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or MBA in Psychology, Behavioral Economics, Human Factors, Marketing, Consumer Insights, Statistics, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or Business Analytics, with a strong interest in consumer behavior, experimentation, product research, or UX research.
• Experience: Experience designing surveys, user interviews, or research studies gained through coursework or previous internships.
• Skills: Ability to work with data and apply statistical thinking, excellent communication skills for translating research into clear recommendations, highly organized, and comfortable interacting directly with customers.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Excel, Google Sheets, SPSS, R, Python, or SQL.
