Credit Solutions Vice President – Growth & Middle Market Technology Banking | Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role with Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, working from US-based office or client sites four days per week and remotely one day. The Growth and Middle-Market Technology Banking team supports exciting venture-backed, private equity-owned, and publicly traded technology companies by evaluating, structuring, and underwriting credit facilities and exposures in the innovation ecosystem.

• Mission: Evaluate and underwrite loans and other credit exposures to Growth and Middle Market Technology companies.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead deal execution end-to-end, including due diligence with technology clients, structuring, underwriting, and negotiation of legal documents.
• Prepare detailed credit analyses and applications, assessing company-specific, industry, and regulatory risks, historical performance, and capital structure.
• Oversee portfolio management activities, assuming accountability for delivery and execution for the defined portfolio.
• Support the syndication strategy, including preparing lender presentations and liaising with participant lenders.
• Coach and oversee junior talent, reviewing their work and providing guidance as necessary.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with an in-depth understanding of credit and risk principles, accounting, and corporate finance.
• Experience: At least 5 years of work experience in financial institutions or equivalent credit risk functions, analyzing corporate borrowers and independently handling complex transactions.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling capabilities; proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; strong time management and organizational skills; attention to detail.
• Bonus: A Master’s degree (MBA) is a plus.
