Assistant Social Media Manager | Pest Daily

The Tone:
This is an entry-level role at Pest Daily, located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Pest Daily is a national education, coaching, consulting, events, and media company dedicated to serving the pest control and home service industries. This role is crucial for leading social media production for the Scottsdale consulting team and supporting various company-wide content and marketing initiatives. The Assistant Social Media Manager will turn ideas, conversations, and everyday moments into engaging content, helping business owners build stronger companies.

• Mission: Owns capturing, creating, editing, organizing, publishing, and improving engaging content across multiple social media platforms.
• Tech Stack: CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud, Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, social media scheduling platforms, content calendar management, social media analytics, basic photography and videography, podcast production.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Content Creation: Create and manage content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social media platforms.
• Video Production: Film and edit short-form and long-form content, including reels, shorts, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage, with the Scottsdale consulting team.
• Content Strategy: Develop creative content ideas that support Pest Daily’s brand, consultants, programs, events, and educational resources.
• Content Management: Organize and maintain social media calendars, production schedules, and content files, then schedule and publish approved content.
• Performance Analysis: Review performance analytics, monitor comments and engagement, and identify trends to improve content effectiveness.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Ideal candidates include recent or upcoming graduates with a degree in marketing, communications, social media, digital media, advertising, journalism, public relations, or a related field; or self-taught social media creators.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to create content through personal projects, freelance work, internships, student organizations, or personal social media accounts.
• Skills: Creativity, organization, comfortable filming content and working with people on camera, video editing, understanding of social media trends and formats.
• Bonus: Built or grown a personal social media account, a portfolio of videos/designs/captions, comfortable being on camera or helping others feel comfortable, understanding of strong hooks, ability to identify trends early, experience filming in professional environments.
