The Tone:
This is an unpaid internship at Markkit, an early-stage startup. Markkit is actively building AI-powered tools specifically designed to empower businesses in creating higher quality marketing content, advertisements, and brand identities more efficiently. This role presents a unique opportunity for an individual to immerse themselves in a startup environment, making a tangible impact and directly contributing to how the company evolves and expands. • Mission: This person will drive Markkit’s audience growth and actively contribute to shaping the company’s social media marketing strategies through hands-on content creation and experimentation.
• Tech Stack: Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, social media management tools
What You’ll Actually Do
• Content Creation: Develop and schedule engaging marketing content tailored for various social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter).
• Audience Growth & Strategy: Actively brainstorm, experiment with, and implement creative ideas specifically designed to expand Markkit’s audience, contributing directly to the development of robust social media growth strategies.
• Market & Trend Analysis: Conduct thorough research into current marketing trends, identify viral content, and analyze competitor activities to inform both content creation and strategic planning.
• Performance Monitoring: Consistently track and analyze the performance of created content, providing data-driven suggestions for continuous improvement and optimization across all platforms.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage in collaborative efforts on various marketing initiatives, including product launches, specific campaigns, and broader marketing experiments within the startup.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. This role is well-suited for individuals holding a strong interest in the fields of marketing, content creation, branding, or the unique environment of startups.
• Experience: No specific years of prior experience are required; instead, the ideal candidate will demonstrate high curiosity, creativity, consistency, and a proactive willingness to learn and “figure things out” through practical, hands-on experimentation. Candidates should enjoy social media and follow current marketing trends.
• Skills: Possess strong written communication skills. Demonstrate self-motivation and comfort with taking initiative in an autonomous work setting. Be organized in task management and dependable in fulfilling responsibilities.
• Bonus: Prior experience utilizing creative design tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or various social media management tools is considered a significant plus.
