Sr. Internal Auditor | MFS Investment Management

• Team: Internal Audit group, reporting to Manager or Senior Manager
• Mission: Lead concurrent operational audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews to improve internal controls and mitigate risks.
• Tech Stack: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes

What You’ll Actually Do
• Direct and manage the planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases of audit examinations, including scope determination and resource requirements.
• Review and test corporate and business unit functions to evaluate operations, associated risks, and the adequacy of established control systems.
• Perform Sarbanes-Oxley Sections 302 and 404 control testing in accordance with internal audit standards and assist management in identifying key control points.
• Develop reports and deliver oral and written presentations to senior management on audit project plans, results, deficiencies, and value-added recommendations.
• Develop partnerships with client management to solve problems, obtain documentation, resolve complex audit issues, and provide corrective and consultative recommendations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience, for a Senior-level internal audit position.
• Experience: Three years of internal or external accounting, finance, and/or auditing experience, including desired audit field supervision.
• Skills: Sound PC application skills, notably Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes, along with strong initiative, teamwork, project management, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bonus: MBA or professional designation such as CPA or CIA.
