The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Garcia Hong Law, located in San Diego, CA. Garcia Hong Law is a firm with a litigation team focusing on a wide variety of civil matters, including business, employment, real estate, personal injury, and appellate cases. This role is crucial for providing substantive support to attorneys, enabling the firm to efficiently manage and progress its diverse caseload while offering meaningful experience to a future litigator.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Draft Discovery: Prepare and respond to written discovery requests to gather essential case information.
• Assist Trial Preparation: Organize exhibits and witness materials to support trial readiness.
• Conduct Research & Drafting: Perform legal research and draft detailed memoranda on various legal issues.
• Prepare Court Filings: Assist in the creation of motions, oppositions, and other necessary court documents.
• Manage Case Files: Review and organize comprehensive case files and evidence for ongoing matters.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current 3L law student or Post-Bar Law Clerk with a focus on civil litigation.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is required beyond current 3L status or post-bar qualification for this early career role.
• Skills: Strong legal research capabilities, excellent legal writing, analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and superior organizational abilities.
• Bonus: Experience utilizing Westlaw, Lexis, or similar legal research platforms is preferred.
