• Mission: Influence defining legal cases by acting as a center of action for Google’s dynamic Litigation Team, with a bias toward action and problem-solving.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Assist Litigation Counsel in overseeing document preservation, collection, review, and production procedures, including evaluating new technologies and vendors.
• Collaborate: Work with the Litigation and Discovery teams, as well as other groups at Google, to ensure internal systems integrate effectively with discovery procedures.
• Supervise: Oversee document retrieval and production processes, coordinating closely with external legal counsel in litigation matters.
• Coordinate: Liaise with external legal counsel on specific assignments, review preliminary advice, and provide internal recommendations to the team.
• Support: Contribute to special project work, including data analytics and tooling development, adopting AI tooling and process improvement to meet the challenges of scale in a growing docket.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, with a focus on litigation support.
• Experience: 5 years of litigation experience with a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Skills: Excellent analytical skills with a strong ability to review and organize numerous documents in complex legal matters, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to professionalism and collegiality.
• Bonus: 8 years of relevant work experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, including experience with complex electronic discovery, Internet technology and patent litigation, regulatory investigations, and general litigation. Willingness to lean into ambiguity, new challenges, and problem-solving, finding new solutions, and leveraging new tools (such as AI) to meet increasing scale.
