Senior Associate, Corporate Development | Hut 8

The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-office role at Hut 8, located in Miami, FL. Hut 8 builds and operates large data centers for next-generation computing workloads, including AI, Colocation, Cloud, and Bitcoin Mining, at the intersection of technology, energy, and infrastructure. This role is crucial for evaluating and executing strategic and financial initiatives, offering direct exposure to high-priority corporate development projects and collaboration with senior leadership to influence strategic financial decisions.

• Mission: To evaluate and execute strategic and financial initiatives including financing activities, investment opportunities, joint ventures, and M&A across AI, advanced computing, and energy ecosystems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain detailed financial and operating models to evaluate data center developments, GPU procurement, and infrastructure investments.
• Deal Execution: Participate in the full transaction process, from initial screening and financial evaluation through due diligence, structuring, and closing.
• Valuation Management: Manage valuation workstreams, including DCF, comparable company/transaction analysis, and unit economics modeling for high-performance computing assets.
• Due Diligence Coordination: Coordinate due diligence processes, acting as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders and external advisors.
• Executive Presentations: Prepare valuation materials, transaction summaries, and strategic analyses to support decision-making for the executive team and the Board.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; strong understanding of corporate finance principles and transaction mechanics.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in investment banking (TMT, Digital Infrastructure, or Power/Energy groups), private equity, infrastructure funds, or a corporate development role within the tech or utility sector.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling capabilities; highly organized with strong attention to detail; clear verbal and written communication skills; good problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Familiarity with or a strong interest in the economics of data centers, AI compute infrastructure, power constraints, and cloud ecosystems.
