Lead Associate Trading Director | The Trade Desk

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at The Trade Desk, located in flexible US locations. The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising. Its technology helps advertisers reach specific audiences across the open internet, from streaming TV to mobile apps and news. This role is crucial for overseeing key client relationships, providing strategic guidance, serving as a liaison for product development, and coaching a team of Traders to drive client success and achieve business goals.

• Mission: Serve as a player-coach across a portfolio of accounts, managing client relationships and leading a team to solve business challenges.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Advising: Oversee the health of client relationships as a strategic advisor, guiding problem-solving discussions and providing client services.
• Solution Delivery: Demonstrate The Trade Desk’s value by providing innovative solutions that meet client needs and business goals.
• Meeting Leadership: Lead key agency client meetings in collaboration with business development and trading counterparts.
• Team Development: Coach a team of Traders, overseeing day-to-day management, setting expectations, developing career path plans, and providing feedback.
• Product Liaison: Become heavily involved in product development by identifying how to build products that provide solutions for clients’ business objectives and serving as a liaison between clients and the product team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager. An effective client-facing leader skilled in building and nurturing client relationships while leading an agile team and developing talent.
• Experience: 7+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 2 years directly managing and developing a team. Proven track record of driving revenue growth with large customer accounts. Experience in developing, nurturing, and managing client relationships.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong strategic and leadership capabilities. Influencing and negotiation skills. Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Bonus: Ambition to develop personally and nurture the development of others.
