What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: This position involves creating and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring all financial information has been accurately recorded and presented for the organization.
• Financial Planning and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and perform monthly and quarterly financial forecasting by utilizing historical trends and forward-looking insights for senior leadership review.
• Business Collaboration and Insight: Partner with various business leaders to provide crucial insights into the drivers of monthly financial results, actively identifying opportunities for improvement within the business, and enhancing their decision-making abilities through analytical support.
• Performance Analysis and Recommendations: Clearly analyze trends and causes of Profit & Loss (P&L) variances, then translate these findings into actionable recommendations that directly align with and support the company’s overall business goals.
• Process Optimization and Ad-Hoc Analysis: Work closely with Finance leadership to identify opportunities for building out new processes and improving existing finance processes to ensure data integrity and efficient analyses, while also performing various ad-hoc business analyses and financial modeling as required.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of related professional experience in a financial analysis capacity.
• Skills: Strong PC proficiency and Microsoft application skills, with required expertise in Excel, including the use of pivots, V-lookups, and macros.
• Bonus: Prior experience within the insurance industry.
