Financial Analyst – Medical Group | Penn State Health
The Tone:
This is a full-time, fully remote role at Penn State Health, with operations in Hershey, PA. Penn State Health is one of the leading research, teaching, and clinical healthcare systems in the country. This position provides direct support to the Penn State Health Medical Group Finance Department and Operations, playing a key role in advancing excellence and innovation in health care by delivering essential financial support across the integrated health system.

• Mission: Provide comprehensive financial reporting and analysis, support budget processes, manage system hierarchies, and enhance operational efficiency for the Penn State Health Medical Group.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Provide direct support by preparing financial reporting and conducting detailed financial analysis for the Medical Group.
• Budget Management: Assist actively with the preparation and review of budgets for the Penn State Health Medical Group.
• System Hierarchy Management: Review existing system hierarchies and implement necessary changes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Software Proficiency: Learn and become proficient with new software systems relevant to financial operations and analysis.
• Process Optimization & Deadlines: Improve the efficiencies of financial processes and manage timelines effectively to meet critical deadlines.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree required, with foundational accountant-level experience in finance.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of accountant-level experience, specifically working with large data files and preparing journal entries and balance sheet analysis.
• Skills: Proficiency in working with large data files, preparing journal entries, performing balance sheet analysis, financial reporting, and budget preparation.
