IT Lead Analyst – Software QA | Maximus
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Maximus, with telecommuting permitted within the Sacramento, CA metro area. Maximus focuses on providing government services and solutions, which includes developing and maintaining software. This role is crucial for upholding the organization’s software quality standards, ensuring timely delivery, and supporting the continuous improvement of quality assurance processes. The successful candidate will guide QA efforts and contribute to the overall integrity of product releases.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Mentor: Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentoring to QA team members on testing approaches, tools, and quality best practices.
• Plan: Design and maintain test plans, test strategies, and test procedures in alignment with established quality standards.
• Collaborate: Partner with Development and Operations teams to ensure organizational standards for software quality and timely delivery.
• Analyze: Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and company policies regarding quality assurance processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any Engineering major.
• Experience: 8 years of experience in software quality assurance, specifically in testing methodology and database automation using Java scripts.
• Skills: SQL, Java scripts, Selenium, HP ALM/Jira/TestRail Test Management Tools, Postman/SoapUI API Tools.
