Site Financial Analyst | DHL Supply Chain

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at DHL Supply Chain, with positions available across various locations in the US. DHL Supply Chain specializes in managing complex operational activities, logistics, and optimizing supply chains for its customers globally. As an Operational Business Analyst, you will be crucial in ensuring financial accuracy, driving operational efficiency, and providing vital analytical support to management within our operational sites. This role empowers you to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to real-world operational challenges, directly impacting the success of our logistics operations and client satisfaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
Vendor Audit: Meticulously audit vendor payables for accuracy and ensure all appropriate approvals are secured before processing payments.
Contract Execution: Execute daily customer and vendor contract requirements, identifying and documenting accessorial activity to maintain compliance and accurate billing.
Labor Reporting: Provide critical support for the Kronos application and its configuration, ensuring accurate hourly activity reporting for operational insights.
Month-End Accruals: Prepare detailed month-end close accrual and reclass journal entries, contributing to the integrity of financial statements.
Productivity Analysis: Create daily and weekly labor analysis reports, offering valuable insights to enhance operations productivity and efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires an Associate’s Degree in business or a minimum of two years of equivalent work experience in a related field. It is well-suited for early-career professionals with foundational knowledge in finance or accounting principles.
• Experience: Candidates should possess a working knowledge of core accounting and finance principles, including an understanding of P&L statements and balance sheets. The ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels is also essential.
• Skills: You must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office applications, is essential for daily tasks and reporting, alongside effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s Degree in business is preferred. Prior experience within the logistics industry, a strong presentation skillset, and a willingness to travel as needed will be advantageous.
