Transaction / Investment Banking Associate (M&A) | MFM Search LLC

The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-office role at MFM Search LLC, located in Florida. MFM Search LLC guides clients through the complex mergers and acquisitions market, offering crucial advisory services. The Associate is essential for collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sensitive client data to prepare them for market entry. This role ensures thorough analysis, identifies risks, values businesses, and sets realistic client expectations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Deal Support: Support senior bankers in all aspects of M&A deal execution, including data gathering, marketing materials preparation, buyer outreach, data room management, and diligence support.
• Content Creation: Prepare and routinely update marketing materials, financial statements, and business intelligence reports to highlight client strengths and opportunities for promotion.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze client’s financial situation, including historical, current, and expected future performance, and prepare comprehensive financial statements.
• Relationship Management: Develop and maintain client relationships and cultivate connections with the investment community, including private equity funds, family offices, and corporate acquirors.
• Strategic Guidance: Provide consultative guidance on accounting, financial, and valuation matters, contributing proactively to departmental and company goals.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate level, requiring a Bachelor’s degree with a concentration or advanced degree in Finance, Marketing, or Accounting, or an unrelated degree with significant related work experience.
• Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of middle market investment banking experience, preferably from an M&A or leverage finance product team, or an industry coverage team such as industrials, business services, consumer, or tech. Experienced in professional business writing, including business plans and information memorandums, is preferred.
• Skills: Proficient in financial modeling and financial analysis in Excel, exceptional PowerPoint presentation skills, strong data interpretation and problem-solving abilities, commercial understanding of business operations in various industries, and effective communication skills.
• Bonus: Proficiency using modern AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT), ability to obtain a Florida real-estate sales associate license within 90 days of employment, and availability for occasional travel.
