The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Evercore, located in New York City. Evercore is a premier global independent investment banking advisory firm dedicated to helping clients achieve superior results through trusted independent advice on strategic matters such as mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and capital structure. The firm also assists clients in raising public and private capital, delivers equity research, equity sales and agency trading execution, and provides wealth and investment management services. This role is critical for driving the origination and execution of equity and equity-linked offerings, specifically for clients in the Healthcare sectors, and is essential for building and expanding Evercore’s independent Equity Capital Markets franchise.

• Team: Equity Capital Markets (ECM), operating at the intersection of investment banking advisory and Evercore ISI research / sales & trading. The role involves leading a junior team and supporting senior bankers.
• Mission: Drive the origination and execution of equity and equity-linked offerings, including IPOs, follow-ons, and convertible strategies, for corporates and financial sponsors within the Healthcare sectors.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Execute: Drive equity offering processes from start to finish, managing all phases of execution.
• Originate: Identify new business opportunities, generate new ideas, and actively work to originate new client engagements.
• Lead: Provide guidance and oversight to a junior team, effectively managing their workflow and development.
• Advise: Develop and communicate equity offering strategies, advise corporate clients, and shape positioning and valuation for public investors.
• Cultivate: Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients and institutional investors to market transactions and gather feedback.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Vice President or Director with specific experience in Equity Capital Markets, focused on covering clients in the Healthcare sectors.
• Experience: 6+ years of investment banking experience post-BA, or 3+ years of investment banking experience post-MBA, all with a dedicated focus on Equity Capital Markets.
• Skills: Proven ability in equity offering execution, new business origination, leadership of junior teams, in-depth capital market knowledge, and strong client relationship building.
