The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Penn State Health, located remotely. This position provides direct financial support and analysis to the Penn State Health Medical Group Finance Department and Operations, ensuring accurate reporting, assisting with budget processes, and improving operational efficiencies. The role is critical in maintaining the financial health and operational effectiveness of the Medical Group.

• Mission: To provide essential financial reporting, analysis, and budget support that enables the Penn State Health Medical Group to operate efficiently and effectively.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Provide comprehensive financial reporting and in-depth analysis for the Penn State Health Medical Group.
• Budget Support: Assist actively with the preparation and thorough review of departmental budgets.
• System Management: Review and implement necessary changes to system hierarchies to ensure accuracy and functionality.
• Software Adoption: Learn and effectively utilize new software systems to support financial operations.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of existing processes and manage timelines to meet all critical deadlines.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree required, with foundational knowledge in accounting or finance.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of accountant-level experience, specifically working with large data files and preparing journal entries and balance sheet analyses.
• Skills: Proficiency in handling large data sets, preparing detailed journal entries, conducting balance sheet analysis, and delivering financial reports.
