The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Ohmite Manufacturing, located in Warrenville, IL. Ohmite manufactures industry-leading resistors and electronic component solutions supporting industrial, energy, and transportation markets. This position is crucial for providing financial guidance and leadership to facility management, ensuring accurate reporting, metrics, and internal controls. The Financial Analyst will directly contribute to strategic business growth initiatives by providing critical financial insights and modeling.

• Team: Reports to the Global Accounting Manager, works closely with VP of Global Finance.
• Mission: Accountable for driving effective and timely financial reporting, financial metrics, and internal controls across the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Conduct Financial Reporting: Work with local accounting teams on monthly and quarterly financial close processes to report on Ohmite’s performance by product and customer.
• Maintain Internal Controls: Ensure effective systems for data integrity, segregation of duties, budgeting, financial reporting, information systems, and adherence to policies.
• Analyze Performance and Risks: Assess potential opportunities and risks by identifying variances, margin leakage, and statistical trends.
• Develop Financial Models: Create financial models and insights for strategic deep dives on forecasts, return on investment, event tracking, and resource allocation.
• Support Budgeting and Forecasting Cycles: Serve as a key member of global budget and forecasting cycles, supporting weekly flash reporting and quarter-ahead forecasts.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a relevant discipline.
• Experience: 2-5 years in a progressive accounting or finance environment, including leadership within manufacturing operations, ERP implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Skills: Strong financial acumen, analytical ability, knowledge of corporate finance and manufacturing costing principles, problem solving through statistical analysis, and budget forecasting experience.
• Bonus: MBA or CPA pursuit preferred, along with spreadsheet and ERP system experience.
