Litigation Paralegal | Willingham & Cote’ P.C.

Our defense team is actively growing, and we are expanding our capacity by seeking highly capable paralegals specializing in insurance defense. This role is fundamental to efficiently managing complex litigation cases, providing critical support that directly impacts our legal team’s ability to serve clients effectively.

• Mission: Manage litigation cases by conducting discovery and providing essential legal support to attorneys and clients.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Discovery: Manage and conduct the full scope of discovery processes, including the preparation of written discovery requests and the detailed drafting of responses to interrogatories and requests for production.
• Coordinate Schedules: Coordinate and meticulously schedule essential legal proceedings such as depositions, medical examinations, and court appearances, ensuring all parties are properly informed and prepared.
• Summarize Medical Records: Efficiently summarize complex medical records, extracting key information and insights crucial for case evaluation and strategic planning by attorneys.
• Draft Motions: Draft simple motions and other foundational legal documents, providing attorneys with well-prepared materials for court submissions and case progression.
• Provide Legal Support: Offer comprehensive legal support to clients and directly assist attorneys with all aspects of case management, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow throughout the litigation process.

• Background: Early-Career. Possess robust legal knowledge specifically applicable to litigation and the nuances of insurance defense.
• Experience: At least one year of direct litigation experience, demonstrating proficiency in managing discovery processes, scheduling, and drafting various legal documents.
• Skills: Exhibit strong communication, legal writing, and legal research skills, complemented by excellent interpersonal abilities and a highly organized approach to case management.
