What You’ll Actually Do
• Discovery Management: Review, organize, and summarize discovery materials for attorneys.
• Court Coordination: Prepare necessary legal documents and coordinate their filings with courts.
• Client Relations: Assist with client onboarding processes and maintain regular contact with clients.
• Case Communications: Draft correspondence and help manage all case-related communications efficiently.
• System & Data Organization: Manage internal firm systems, client databases, and ensure case files are organized and deadlines are tracked.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career. Candidates should possess strong administrative or customer service experience, or be recent graduates pursuing legal certification, demonstrating a clear interest in criminal defense law. Experience supporting litigation efforts, particularly with discovery processes, is key.
• Experience: Prior experience specifically in litigation support, with a focus on discovery, is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential.
• Skills: Demonstrated high level of organization and attention to detail; ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal forms; aptitude for managing deadlines and performing under pressure; eagerness to learn and proactive initiative-taking; tech-savvy and adaptable to new systems; a strong dedication to criminal defense and assisting individuals through challenging legal situations.
