This is a full-time role at Amazon, located in Nashville, TN or Bellevue, WA. What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Modeling: Build complex financial models and perform sophisticated analyses to drive investment decisions for new business initiatives in the Sub Same Day (SSD) network.
• Capital Planning: Lead capital planning and optimization efforts for the growing SSD network, including building launch strategies, capex forecasting, allocation, and ROI analysis.
• Strategic Partnership: Partner with business teams to define financial and non-financial trade-offs, making thoughtful judgment calls in ambiguous environments.
• Data Management & Solutions: Identify and solve complex data integrity issues while developing and implementing scalable financial solutions to improve tools, technology, and processes.
• Communication & Reporting: Create clear and compelling narratives to communicate complex financial concepts to stakeholders.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science). This is a Finance Manager role.
• Experience: 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience.
• Skills: Building complex financial models, performing sophisticated analyses, leading capital planning and optimization, capex forecasting, ROI analysis, defining financial/non-financial trade-offs, identifying and solving complex data integrity issues, developing scalable financial solutions, creating clear and compelling narratives.
• Bonus: MBA or CPA, 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data and creating/implementing escalation plans, 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models/analysis/recommendations, knowledge of SQL/ETL, experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos), and experience with financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
