Financial Planning & Analysis Intern | Metallus Inc.

The Tone:
This is a full-time summer internship at Metallus Inc., offering an in-person experience starting May 17, 2027. Metallus is an industry leader with over a century of legacy, manufacturing the cleanest steel in the world for critical industrial, aerospace and defense, automotive, and energy markets. What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Operations: Assist the finance team with monthly close processes, including forecasting and variance analysis.
• Data Analysis: Support the creation of financial models, produce necessary reports, and conduct comprehensive data analysis.
• Business Partnership: Collaborate with operational teams to understand key cost drivers and identify performance trends.
• Strategic Contribution: Contribute to various ad hoc analyses and assist with small project work across the finance department.
• Cross-functional Support: Work across the FP&A function and other related financial areas to support broader organizational objectives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university, with 30 or more credit hours completed by the end of the spring 2027 semester, and maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Preferred majors include Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
• Experience: Demonstrated familiarity with financial modeling and reporting principles.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis, experience using PowerPoint, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
